Ava McCoy is a native of Glenn Dale, Maryland, She is an alum of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and holds a B.S in Dramatic Arts; Film and Television Production from St John’s University. She spent six years as a member of AfroModa Theatre Dance Company. Some theater credits include Macbeth (Connelly Theater), The Unusual Tale of Mary and Joseph’s Baby (SoHo Playhouse), 125th and FREEdom (National Black Theatre). She was nominated for an AUDELCO Award for her portrayal of Ismene in Classical Theater of Harlem’s: Antigone (Richard Rogers Amphitheater). During quarantine of 2020, Ava co-produced the IMDb, Women in Film, ReFrame Project, Curbside Shorts award winning short film, Day 74. She can be seen on NCIS: Los Angeles and All American: Homecoming as well as the film Who Am I, alongside Alisha Boe, Odessa A’zion, and Hari Nef.
